Mairi Campbell Exhibition

Exhibition of Mairi Campbell’s stone paintings. 1-25 August 2024 (every day).

Experience a captivating exhibition of Mairi Campbell’s stunning stone paintings at the Scottish Storytelling Centre during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The exhibition runs alongside Mairi’s new show Mairi Campbell: Living Stone.

Each painting is inspired by a 400-million-year-old quern stone discovered on Mairi’s great-grandmother’s croft. Each captures the intricate details and textures of the stone, symbolising the connection between past and present.

The exhibition also offers a visual exploration of the themes presented in Mairi’s new show including real and mystical elements, the importance of building and healing communities, as well as hope and connection.
