Welcome to our wee festival of Scottish dancing on the magical isle of Lismore
where Scottish dancing, live music and warm island hospitality come together in one of Scotland’s most beautiful settings. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or taking your very first steps, you’ll be welcomed into our community to share great music, laughter and friendship. Slow down, breathe in the island air, explore Lismore’s stunning landscapes, and spend your evenings dancing together.
This year our guest band is The Occasionals, one of Scotland’s great Scottish dance bands. They’ll play for the Saturday night ceilidh and you’ll hear band leader Freeland Barbour talk about his life in music on Sunday morning.
We kick off on Friday night with our wonderful hosts and local band, the Lismore Dance band, with Mairi Campbell keeping you right on the dance floor.
Saturday morning is a dance workshop with Sheila McCutcheon who has a large repertoire of new/old dances. Come and learn some new ceilidh dances!
On Saturday afternoon there’s an option of walks, talks and open art houses, or you might want to simply rest and do your own thing – totally up to you!
Saturday night is the dance with The Occasionals.
A potluck lunch and a tunes session on Sunday wraps up our gathering!
