Hi folks, Just an update on Living Stone. My daughter Ellen and I filmed a trailer for the show yesterday, so she has some juicy shots that she’ll edit into a one-minute trailer. We’ll share that with you when it’s ready.  Today I’m in the studio with Dave Gray for two days, so we’re getting moving on the music for the show. Hi folks, I’m back on Lismore now until July and working on my new show Living Stone – Dave Gray has been sending me extraordinary tracks that he’s produced from improvisations and songs that we recorded. Hi folks, I’ve enjoyed a right old mix of music action this month. As part of the Scottish Storytelling Festival, I played a selection of songs and tunes with Svend-Erik Engh’s show ‘Once upon a time there was a war’ which we also took across to Bunessan on the Isle of Mull. Only down side was my car headlights packing in when we reached the hall!   I enjoyed a couple of happy outings with Freeland Barbour and The Occasionals dance band

Hi folks, I’m feeling ready for the ‘Meet me at the threshold’ tour and really looking forward to it.  I’m at a stage in life that feels freer than I’ve felt before. My tools are sharpened and ready to share. The voice is fuller, richer. The viola has simplified its offering. And the fiddle has returned into my orbit since I swapped instruments with my daughter. I now play a fiddle made by Otis Tomas from Cape Breton. Every day

Hi folks, I hope you’re well. Time moves on. The kids in Scotland have gone back to school and the Fringe has finished. The leaves on the trees at the end of Windsor Place have released their fullness and now quietened down into early Autumn. Still, some great memories from trips this Summer.
