Hello everyone,
It’s all systems go now with the new show Mairi Campbell: Auld Lang Syne in the run up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018. We’ll be playing the show every day from the 4 to 28 August at 4.30pm at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, High Street. The show is the sequel to Pulse and the second of a trilogy. I’m also really delighted for it to have won the support of Made in Scotland, a curated showcase of Scotland based work.
Co-director Kath Burlinson, founder of the Authentic Artist Collective, and I have worked on a few shows together now and logistics are way easier now that Kath, her hubby and mum are now resident in Scotland… I’ve been hoofing aboot in Kath’s studio finding characters, sounds and stories. Lots of fun!
Have to say I’m pretty chuffed to have a mostly female team here. There’s a lot of talk at the moment about gender… well check us out!… Kath Burlinson (Director), Kate Taylor (producer), Helen Wyllie (graphics), Marianne Halavage (admin), Maria McDonald (lighting/tech), Julia Fayngruen (video), Claire Lamond (animations), Mairi Campbell (performer/creator), David Francis and David Gray.
